On this special episode of Life Lessons, we focus our usual Gintama talk more towards the anime side of things, as Colton is joined by Doctor (SSAA Podcast and Just a Gintama Podcast) to discuss with Josh Dunham’s thoughts on the Gintama anime thus far. Josh is the host of the anime podcast Senpai Coast to Coast and the founder of the Wave Motion Cannon blog, and had started watching Gintama shortly after meeting and becoming friends with Colton. It has been a year since that faithful day, and now it is time for Colton and Doctor to sit down with Josh behind their microphones and see what Josh thinks of the series thus far. What are his most memorable episodes? How does he feel about the cast of characters? Does he like Gintama enough to continue with it and record about it again sometime? Well, you’ll just have to listen. Enjoy!
On this special kind of/sort of/not really episode of Life Lessons, Colton and CJ Hitchcock join past guest, Josh Dunham, for an episode of his podcast, Senpai Coast to Coast, to talk about J-Stars Victory Plus. A fighting game available on the PS3, PS Vita, and PS4, with a roster filled with characters from different Shonen Jump manga series (including Gintoki!). Topics of discussion include thoughts on the choices for the character roster in general, what the game has to offer for Jump fans (let alone fans of Gintama) and how Josh apparently doesn’t like Ninja Scroll.
Special thanks to Josh for letting us put this up! Go listen to his podcast, check out his blog, and follow him on Twitter (@Josh_Dunham) for his first viewing of the Gintama anime, along with whatever other shows he may be watching!
Hopefully everyone enjoys this special bonus while Colton is away, but even with Colton gone, look forward to the next actual episode of Life Lessons!
On this special episode of Life Lessons, Colton finally has another character special in store as he and Jay sit down and talk about their favorite demon vice-chief of the Shinsengumi. They talk about everything they possibly can about Hijikata, such as his character design, his voice actor, what kind of person he is, his relationships with other characters, his life before he joined the Shinsengumi. Everything.
Other topics of discussion this episode include how much of an influence mayonnaise has had on Jay’s life, what other characters the podcast cover and just how much Colton cries at even the mention of Mitsuba. Enjoy!
Before anyone asks: No, we didn’t post the wrong podcast. The 2nd anniversary podcast is coming soon, but in the meantime, listen to Colton’s guest appearance on the latest episode of Just a Gintama Podcast (aka, the original Gintama podcast!), as he joins hosts, Doctor and Foxy, to talk about their favorite episodes of the anime in celebration of the new season.
WARNING: FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO FOLLOW THE MANGA ALONG WITH THE PODCAST, PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS, AS THERE MAY BE SPOILERS!
On this special episode of Life Lessons, Colton and Bookie explore a few character relationships throughout Gintama and how much they could either evolve or destabilize if they were to go on. After all is said and done, Colton and Bookie have a fun time coming up with their own crack shippings! Some funny ones, some not so funny, and some that are just sort of weird. Enjoy and have a Happy (belated) Valentines Day!
